Andrea Jeremiah
Andrea Maria Jeremiah has worked as an actor as well as a musician, playback singer and actress in Tamil films as well as Malayalam film. Annayum, a Malayalam film made her Malayalam acting debut. Andrea Jeremiah has been raised in a Tamil Nadu Anglo-Indian home. Her father is an Madras High Court lawyer. There is a younger sister who lives and works at Leuven Belgium as researcher assistant. Jeremiah was brought up within Chennai. He attended National Public School. After his graduation, he attended Women's Christian College. Andrea started classes in classical piano when she was eight years old, was described as a "geek" and was aspiring to be a psychiatric until her 12th grade board exam. She was part of the Jackson Five style troupe Young Stars at age 10. It was this group that shaped the foundation for her music and singing career. In her college she also was performing as a theatre artist in stage shows produced through The Madras Players. She was President of Women's Christian College's Student Senate. Andrea began performing as a child performer as a child actor in Girish Karnad Nagamandala. Andrea was in a new Leo commercial for coffee together with actor Shiva in the year 2006. She also acted in the Podhigai Channel in a television serial. She has appeared in various shows throughout India. She played a brief part in the final scene of Kanda Naal Mudhal (2005). Gautham V. Menon invited her after she performed a number in Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu to appear as the lead female character on Pachaikili Muthucharam. The film was an adaptation of James Siegel's novel Derailed with Andrea playing Kalyani a homemaker her husband who is caught in an affair, and then is blackmailed. Andrea was chosen for the role following the actresses Simran Shobana and Tabu were approached. The film was released in the early 2010s. The film was released in August 2011. Venkat Prabhu released his multi-starrer Mankatha. She was asked to take on a lesser part in the film. Annayum Rasoolum was Rajeev's romantic film from 2013.
