Niykee, who has had a whirlwind few years including being selected by Snoop to join him on The YouTube Brandcast May 2013 Niykee keeps a steady songwriting schedule even though she has been a bit busy. Her popularity is constant to producers just starting out. A lot of tracks she gets are a source of song ideas. "I'll be able tell in the first five minutes if this is a quality beat. Once I've an idea in my head and I begin to write immediately." When I sit on my back porch playing guitar, lyrics will appear and usually are written in fewer than thirty minutes. Niykee says that as she develops as a lyricist and musician, her memories of her childhood are an inspiration. Even when she's not writing about the things which are actually happening the pain due to her childhood and the losing her younger sister makes it's way into her music. The memories influence my songs and builds this deeper meaning under everything which is one the most important things that I value. It is important to me to realize that I'll be able to listen to any one of my songs in 20 years down the road and feel proud of the things I wrote.
