Ellie Goulding was born Elena Jane Goulding in Hereford on December 30, 1986. Ellie Goulding dominated the UK charts in 2010 thanks to the catchy electro-pop tracks "Starry Eyed" and Guns and Horses. Although she started out writing songs in a folk-inflected style, she eventually grew into a more electronic-influenced artist, touching upon dance music and ambient synth pop.
